For those who love walking into nature, the Guided hiking trail from Narni to the Abbey of San Cassiano is an experience between nature, history and spirituality to discover one of the most fascinating places of Narni.  

The suggestive guided hiking tour from Narni to the Abbey of San Cassiano.

The tour, which starts from the loggia of Priori Palace, goes across the Nera river, near the Augustus Bridge, reaching the Abbey of San Cassiano on top of the Mount Croce, is a continue jump into the history: from the Middle Age to the Roman period, to go back to the Middle Age.

The loop hiking tour, of a turistic difficulty, has a duration of about three hours.

The complex, built on an ancient structure, was already active in 1081 and acted as a sentry on one of the most important strategic points of the territory of Narni.

The abbey, built and protected by crenelated walls, is composed of a church and buildings which, in the past, were used by monks.

For those who are not in a position to cover the entire stretch, there will be a second meeting place near the Augustus Bridge, to be agreed at the time of booking.

On the way back it is advisable to continue the walk independently to the Gole del Nera.
