Eroli Palace, in the past residence of the noble family until the end of the XX century and today Museum, Art Gallery and Library of the Town of Narni, is in the highest part of the old town, behind the Podestà Palace and leaning against the Church of San Francesco.

Eroli Palace: center of culture and history of Narni.

Was built in the XVIII century for the will of Pietro Eroli and his son Silvio, combining together several buildings already owned by the family and others purchased, using the slope of the cliff which faces on the suggestive Gole del Nera

Past ownership of the Province of Terni and restored , today hosts the majors painted, sculpted and archeological works thanks to which it is possible to retrace the history of Narni and of its territory.

The museum of Narni.

In addition to performances and exhibitions, the museum offers the visit in the two sections placed in the two floors of the palace: the archeological one in the first floor , which has remains from the prehistoric time until the Middle Age; and the art gallery at the second floor, with works dating from the XIV century to the XVIII century.

Among the other works , important are the Coronation of the Madonna of Domenico Ghirlandaio, the Annunciation of Benozzo Gozzoli, the  Sarcophagus and the Egyptian mummy and, at the end, the Bronze cup of the fountain of Priori of 1303.

The municipal library.

The ground floor of the building hosts the municipal library of Narni of which we know from the XVII century thanks to the donation to the municipality by the bishop Andrea Cardoni.

Dedicated to Giovanni Eroli, it is divided into three big funds: general; local; young.
