The Church of Santa Maria Annunziata in Guadamello.
There are no definite indications about the construction of this church, but it is believed that it may have been the castle chapel built between the 10th and 11th centuries.
The Church of Santa Maria Annunziata is with a unique aisle and already from the entrance has two capitals and other materials of the Roman period as the sanctuary which is based on a column and it is made by an empty capital.
Another interesting element is a roman cineraria next to the baptisimal fount destined to collect the water during the act of the baptism.
The Baptisimal fount is an interesting work of local craftsmanship, dating to the half of the XVII century thanks to the presence of the coat of arm of the Bishop Raimondo Castelli sculpted on the fount.
Other interesting elements which are preserve in the same church are the frescoes of the XVI and the XVII century , those – on the wall above the baptisimal fount -maybe belongs to the painter Carlo Federico Benincasa from Narni, for the similarity with the frescoes signed which are present in the parish church of Gualdo, signed by the painter.
On August 16 it is celebrated the Patron San Rocco.
